Who am I?

Hi, I’m Lois, and teaching has been at the heart of my career for the past decade.

I qualified as a primary school teacher in the UK in 2016 and have spent 10 years teaching children from 4 to 13 years old across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. During this time, I have been Head of Maths and Head of Upper Key Stage 2, supporting both pupils and teaching teams to achieve their best outcomes.

I am also a qualified SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), giving me extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, learning difficulties, and those who benefit from a more personalised approach to learning. I strongly believe that every child can succeed when teaching is adapted to suit how they learn best.

After taking time away from the classroom to travel and explore new places, I am now delighted to be based in Morzine and supporting English-speaking families in the local community. Living abroad can be an incredible experience for children, but it can sometimes bring academic challenges too and that’s where I can help.

My tutoring sessions focus not only on academic progress, but also confidence, independence, and enjoyment of learning. I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and developing at their own pace.

I am looking forward to supporting your family soon!
